Hello! I’ve been preparing for certifications and various things, and I’ve been writing my blog whenever I have free time. However, I feel the content is a bit lacking from a subjective standpoint, so my draft folder is currently full of placeholders. Recently (Friday, March 13, 2026), I attended the Kaka AI Campus to participate in the KANANA 429 kickoff ceremony.

 

안녕하세요! 최근 자격증이랑 여러가지들을 준비하느라 블로그를 시간날때마다 틈틈히 쓰는데, 막상 주관적인 기준으로 내용이 조금 부족한것 같아서 임시저장만 가득차있는 상황에 최근(*26년 3월 13일 금요일)에 카카오 AI 캠퍼스를 가서 KANANA 429 발대식을 참석하게 되었습니다!

 

What is KANANA 429?
KANANA 429가 뭐야?

 

Kakao’s AI is named KANANA, and the 429 appended at the end commonly signifies an error, similar to developer memes like 404 or 505.

 

kakao가 개발한 AI의 이름이 KANANA인데, 뒤에 붙은 429는 흔히 개발자 밈(404, 505)처럼 에러를 의미해요.

 

The 429, as shown in the picture, means an error that occurs when too many people access it compared to the server limit!
For those who find it hard to understand, think of examples like a baseball game, a concert, or course registration—when so many people try to access at once that you get bumped out.

In short, it means that a lot of people are accessing KANANA simultaneously, and it’s going to be huge!

 

 

위 사진과 같이 429는 서버제한에 비해 많은 사람들이 접속했을때 발생한 에러를 의미 한답니다!!

잘 이해가 안가시는 분들을 위해 예시를 들어드리자면 야구나, 콘서트, 수강신청 해본 경험이 있으실텐데, 접속하다가 너무 많이 몰려서 튕긴거라고 생각하시면 편할거 같습니다.

 

한마디로 KANANA에 너문 많은 사람들이 접속해서 대박! 날거라는 의미!!!

I took a shuttle bus from Kakao Pangyo Arts Center (Pangyo Art campus) to the AI Campus, and I personally thought Pangyo Station would be close, but it took a bit longer than I expected. I sat in the very front seat of the bus and enjoyed the view outside the window during the ride.
(Additionally, Ryann and Apeach in the photo are obscured in the rearview mirror to protect the privacy of the people who were riding along.)

 

저는 카카오 판교아지트에서 AI캠퍼스까지 셔틀버스로 이동을 하게 되었는데 개인적으로 판교역이랑 가까울줄 알았는데 생각보다 시간이 조금 걸리더라구요! 저는 버스 제일 앞자리에 타서 세상 바깥구경하면서 이동했답니다.

I got off the bus first and found the interior like this! I’ve visited Pangyo Atrium (Pangyo Art center) several times, but AI Campus was my first visit, so I was really looking forward to it. It’s also one of my favorite companies and one of the top IT firms in Korea, so the facilities were impressive as expected.

I heard that If Kakao hosted an event here in 2025, and I did apply, but unfortunately I wasn’t selected last year, so I could only watch it on YouTube. After actually visiting, I felt that the building truly matches Kakao’s concept and atmosphere.

 

 

버스에서 제일 먼저 내려서 오니 이렇게 내부가 있더라구요! 사실 판교아지트는 여러번 가봤지만 AI 캠퍼스는 이번이 처음이라 굉장히 기대가 되었는데, 역시나 제가 가장좋아하는 회사기도하고 대한민국에서 세손가락 안에든 IT회사라 그런지 역시 시설도 좋더라구요.

 

25년에 if kakao가 이곳에서 개최되었다고 들었는데 지원해 보았지만 아쉽게도 작년에는 선정되지 못해서ㅠ 유튜브 화면으로만 봤는데 실제로 방문해보니 정말 kakao만의 컨셉과 분위기에 맞는 건물인것 같다고 생각이 들었습니다.

 

 

I could see about 18 tables in the photo above, and they were set up with merchandise like this. As soon as I arrived, I shared this photo in our family chat, and the replies I received were only, “Even a slave life must be lived in a noble house.” (Our family members are all public servants, so they said they hadn’t even thought about such things. That gave me another dose of motivation.)

 

The keycaps on the tables can be completed through various missions, but since you might not know, I’ll keep the missions confidential.

Also, inside my bag were several more goodies, and the black item below was a windbreaker for group use. If you’ve seen Kakao Friends merch, you can probably guess how stylish and nice it is, because I’m still wearing it as I write this.

 

 

위에 사진에서 보았듯이 테이블이 약 18개정도가 있었는데 이렇게 굿즈랑 세팅이 되어있더라구요. 저는 도착하자마자 이 사진을 가족톡방에 공유를 했는데 되돌아 오는 대답으로는 '역시 노비생활도 대감집에서 해야한다' 라는 대답뿐이었답니다.

(저희 가족들은 다들 공무원이라 그런지 저런건 생각조차 없었다고 하더라구요. 그렇게 저는 또 동기부여가 생겼답니다.)

 

앞서 테이블 위에 보이는 키캡은 여러 미션을해서 완성할 수 있는데, 혹시모르니 미션은 기밀로 하겠습니다.

그외에도 가방안에는 여러 굿즈들과, 아래 검정색은 단체 바람막이었는데 카카오프렌즈 굿즈를 보신분들은 짐작하셨듯이 역시 예쁘고 좋아서 이 글을 쓰는 중에도 입고 있답니다.

 

 

I arrived early and greeted a colleague who sat at the same table, and when they said they were going to the restroom, I kept looking at the screen to see when my name would appear, holding my phone continuously. Since my name appeared at the very top, it felt even more meaningful.

Many of the others posted under nicknames or social media handles, so I wondered if I should have used “Jay” as well. Fortunately, many people posted using their real names, which was reassuring.

 

 

일찍와서 같은 테이블에 앉은 동료분이랑 인사좀 나누고 화장실 가신다길래 저는 앞에 화면보고 제이름이 언제 나올까 하고 계속 폰들고 있었는데, 이름이 제일 위에 나와서 뭔가 더 의미부여가 되더라구요!!

 

다른분들은 닉네임이나 SNS활동명으로 올리신분들이 많아서 저도 Jay로 했어야 했을까 고민했는데, 다행히도(?) 실제 이름으로 올라오신 분들도 많아서 안심이 되었답니다.

 

면도하고 갔습니다. 오해하시면 안됩니다

 

Because I arrived early, there was more time than expected, so I decided to do the keycap mission with another person who came to the same table with me. There was a feature that could create a JORDI (Jordi) based on my clothing and appearance at that moment!

 

They could recognize my glasses, hairstyle, and outfit (green knit) from a single photo and generate the character immediately. I was quite surprised by the level of detail.

I changed my KakaoTalk profile photo and Instagram profile picture to that character, and many people asked where I did it. Thinking about it, this also feels like a potential Kakao service to develop.

(If I study PLAY MCP and KANANA a bit more to see how to activate such a service, I’ll look into it and share another post with you after I’ve explored it.)

 

 

일찍와서 그런지 생각보다 시간이 많이 남길래 키캡미션해야겠다는 생각이 들어서 같은 테이블에 저랑 같이 왔던 다른 한분과 같이 미션을 했는데, 그 당시 제가 입고있던 옷과 모습으로 죠르디를 만들어 주는게 있더라구요!!

 

사진하나 찍은걸로 안경, 헤어스타일, 옷(초록색 니트)를 인식해서 바로 만들어주는데 생각보다 디테일해서 굉장히 놀랐답니다!

저 캐릭터로 카톡옵챗이랑, 인스타 프로필 사진으로 바꿧더니 어디서 했냐고 물어봐주는 사람들이 많았는데 생각해보니 이것도 kakao의 서비스중 하나로 개발해보면 어떨까? 하는 생각이 들긴 하더라구요.

(한번 PLAY MCP와 KANANA를 연구해보면서 어떻게 서비스를 활성화 할수있지 않을까 생각이 들기는 하는데, 저도 알아보고 시도해본후 또하나의 게시글로 알려드리겠습니다)

 

 

As time passed, I began attending the sessions and lectures prepared by Kakao. I will not disclose the content publicly, just in case.

Personally, I am quite security-conscious. If there are updates to KANANA in the future, or if I consult with Kakao Krew members and obtain their approval, I may share another post revealing what the content was. However, at this moment I am unable to disclose the details publicly, and I would appreciate your understanding.

 

 

그렇게 시간이 지나고 이제 kakao에서 준비한 세션과 강의들을 듣게 되었는데, 내용은 혹시몰라서 따로 공개는 하지 않으려고합니다.

개인적으로 보안에 민감하기 때문에 추후에 KANANA가 업데이트가되거나, kakao krew분들께 문의를 하고 괜찮다고 승인이 난다면 또다른 게시글로 어떤 내용인지 공개를 하려고 하기 때문에 개인적으로 물어봐도 현재의 저는 알려드리기 어렵다고 말씀드리겠습니다!!!

 

 

Nevertheless, I think I can disclose one thing!
At the time of writing this post (as of March 23, 2026), about 720,000 YouTube user JoCoding님 came to give a lecture. (Mr. CHOI also gave a talk, but I can’t seem to find the photo as it wasn’t saved ㅜㅜ)

이 글이 작성하는 시점 (26년 3월 23일 기준) 약 72만명의 유루바 조코딩님께서 와서 강연해주셨어요. (CHOI 님도 강연해주셨는데 사진저장이 안됬나 찾아봐도 보이지가 않네요 ㅠㅠ)

 

 

Oh goodness!! After the morning sessions ended, we headed to lunch, and what is this!!!! They served us beef!!!

From the pre-meal salad to something like ttakgalbee(?) and steak — it was served as a full-course meal. It felt like each detail was carefully considered, and I was genuinely pleased. It seemed like this was truly a service, and I am grateful for the considerate treatment.

The meat was cooked to a perfect level of doneness!!

 

 

아.무.튼!! 그렇게 오전 세션이 끝나고 점심을 먹는데 이게 뭡니까!!!! 소를 줍니다!!!

식전 샐러드부터 시작해서 떡같비 같은거랑 스테이크까지!!! 코스요리로 대접해주시는데 정말 하나하나 신경써주신거 같아서 정말 기분이 좋더라구요. 이게 서비스인가? 라는 생각이 절로들 정도로 대우해주신거같아서 정말 감사한 마음으로 먹었습니다.

정말 고기가 이븐하게 익었어요!!

 

In the afternoon, I attended another lecture and we took a group photo-there were so many people, right?
I participated as an AI expert, and I was surprised to see many creators and university students also joining in.
Thanks to that, I was able to meet great people and exchange business cards, which was really great.

 

오후에 또 다른 강연을 듣고 단체사진을 찍었는데 사람 참 많죠?

저는 AI 전문가로 참여했는데, 생각보다 여러 크리에이터분들과 대학생분들도 많이 지원하셨더라구요!!

덕분에 좋은 사람들과 명함도 교환하고 정말 좋았답니다!!!

As some of you may already know, I really, really love Kakao. I’m such a fan that I customize my laptop with Kakao items—from the Kakao Diary that has been released every year since 2023, and the Kakao stickers I received at the SK SUMMIT last year (2025).

 

이미 알고계시는 분들은 아시겠지만 저는 카카오를 정말 매우매우 좋아하기 때문에 위에 사진처럼 23년부터 매년 나오는 카카오 다이어리랑, 작년(25년)에 SK SUMMIT에서 받은 kakao 스티커로 저의 노트북을 커스텀 할정도로 좋아하는 회사랍니다!
